How to Prove Negligence in a Fedex Truck Crash Case
Your Las Vegas personal injury lawyer crafts an argument centered around negligence. They will highlight how a liable party violated their duty of care by committing an act that put you and others in danger. On top of that, your attorney will describe how this party’s actions led to your FedEx truck crash, injuries, and damages.
Just because you say someone was negligent does not mean that the court will agree. Your lawyer takes the burden of proof in your case seriously. They retrieve evidence that could compel a judge or jury to rule in your favor.
According to NRS 41.141, modified comparative negligence applies to personal injury cases in Nevada. If you are found to be 1-50% at fault for your FedEx truck collision, a judge or jury can reduce your damages by your percentage of liability.
Those who are primarily to blame for a FedEx truck crash may be ineligible to get damages.
When to File a Las Vegas Fedex Truck Accident Claim
The Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) restrict the time frame in which you are allowed to submit a FedEx truck collision claim. Per NRS 11.190, the statute of limitations for a personal injury claim is two years. This window may not be extended.
Consult with a FedEx truck accident lawyer in Las Vegas, as your attorney can start the legal process. Once your attorney submits your claim, they can negotiate a settlement.
They will keep you updated on settlement negotiations. If your attorney gets a settlement proposal, they will share the offer with you, and you can review it with them.
Typically, your lawyer will advise you not to accept the first insurance settlement offer. If your attorney does not receive a settlement proposal that provides you with adequate compensation, they may encourage you to proceed with a lawsuit.
hen your case goes to trial, your attorney can explain to a judge or jury why economic and non-economic damages are warranted.

How Much Money Can You Get in a Fedex Truck Accident Lawsuit?
You have no idea how much a car accident claim is worth or what it will take to recover damages as part of a FedEx truck collision lawsuit. In your case, your attorney wants you to request damages for many reasons, such as:
- Car repair or replacement costs
- Medical bills
- Lost wages
- Loss of enjoyment of life
- Pain and suffering
Accident scene photos, witness statements, and other evidence strengthen your case for damages. If your lawyer collects a wide range of proof, it becomes difficult for a liable party to disprove your attorney’s argument.
Plus, the court may see that a liable party acted negligently, which can help you recover enough compensation for all of your accident losses.
What to Expect If You File a Wrongful Death Claim After a Fatal Fedex Truck Accident
If a family member died in a FedEx truck collision, the loss is devastating for you and your loved ones. In the aftermath of this tragic accident, it may be in the best interests of you and your family to speak with a Las Vegas wrongful death lawyer.
A wrongful death attorney is empathetic, compassionate, and caring. They will not pressure you to file a wrongful death claim. Rather, they want you to understand all of your legal options. If you submit a claim relating to your loved one’s death, you could receive money that you can use to protect your family’s financial future.
You may file a wrongful death claim if you are a surviving spouse, child, parent, or personal representative of a deceased person (decedent). In a wrongful death case, your attorney prioritizes your legal matters.
They work hard to negotiate a settlement. If no agreement is reached, your lawyer can present your case to a judge or jury.
