A 16-year-old girl was injured in a Las Vegas pedestrian accident that occurred as she crossed the street with her sister. According to a KVVU news initial report, the car accident occurred on Lone Mountain Road near El Capitan Way in Las Vegas. Officials say the young victim was crossing the road just east of the intersection with her sister when the car struck her.
She has been listed in critical condition and has required surgery for her life-threatening injuries. Her sister was not injured in the crash. It is not clear if the driver will be cited for the collision or reckless driving. Officials say the girls were not in a crosswalk at the time.
