Kevin Kampschror joined Shook & Stone in June 2014. Kevin brings professional experience as well as significant litigation experience for a lawyer.

Kevin is experienced in workers’ compensation, criminal defense, and social security disability. Kevin is the Managing Attorney and Division Head for workers’ compensation and criminal defense.

Legal Education & Early Experience

Kevin received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2002. Kevin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2013 in San Diego, CA. Kevin was an editor on Law Review and, among several academic awards, was named one of Who’s Who in America’s Universities and Colleges in 2013.

While in law school, Kevin worked in five different offices with the San Diego County Public Defender and represented many defendants in various capacities ranging from high profile homicide, sex offenses, serious felonies, and lower level felonies.

Kevin tried a bench trial as well as co-chaired a felony jury involuntary manslaughter trial and has made hundreds of court appearances in criminal court. Upon admission to the bar, Kevin also gained experience with misdemeanors, post-conviction, direct criminal appeals, and administrative hearings.

Providing Effective Representation in Workers’ Compensation

Kevin’s litigation skills are an excellent fit for workers’ compensation and criminal defense.

Kevin has a background in performance, which makes him a very effective advocate in front of judges and juries alike. Since joining Shook & Stone, Kevin has litigated many workers’ compensation hearings before the Hearings Officers and Appeals Officers, as well as criminal cases.

Kevin also has an extensive business background prior to becoming an attorney, and has been in executive management with a Fortune 500 company.

Community Involvement & Memberships

Kevin strives to give back to the community and has been recognized by the Legal Aid of Southern Nevada as being in the Top 50 Club for pro bono hours.

Kevin also volunteers his time through the Inmate Mediation Program in Federal Court acting as a Mediator for inmate civil rights lawsuits, the Children’s Attorneys Project representing foster children, and representation of criminal defendants at various stages.

Memberships include the Regional Board for Anti-Defamation League (“ADL”) Nevada, Nevada Association of Criminal Justice, Nevada Justice Association, Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group, Nevada Disability Prevention Coalition, and is involved in the labor and employment and LGBT sections of the Nevada State Bar.

Kevin has been featured in multiple times in Nevada Lawyer Magazine, as well as the Advocate. Kevin is admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada as well as the United States District Court, District of Nevada.
