When should I file a claim?

When should I file a claim?

You will have 90 days from the date of initial injury. Typically, when you are injured on the job, you know exactly what happened. It was an industrial accident, you cut yourself, you were in a car accident, you got a broken bone, what have you – you know exactly what happened and when the injury occurred. Within 90 days from that point, you have to file a request for compensation form – a C-4 form. If, for example, you have an industrial disease like asbestosis or perhaps carpal tunnel – if you don’t know the cause of that and you first learn of the cause of that from your doctor, you will have 90 days from that date to file a workers’ compensation claim.
