SHOOK & STONE’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19

SHOOK & STONE’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19

As you all know and are experiencing, the rapidly developing COVID-19 situation is creating enormous disruption in our communities, our country, and around the world. In fact, our Nevada clients and colleagues are likely aware of the Governor’s recent mandate that all non-essential businesses close for a period of thirty (30) days.  Fortunately, law firms such as our own are recognized as essential businesses because of the critical services we provide to injured and disabled people.

Please note that we will remain open during this crisis, but wish to advise you of precautionary measures we are taking to protect the health, well-being, and safety of our firm’s members, their families, our clients, and our community.

We have developed a plan that includes enhancements to our already established remote work capabilities, enabling our attorneys and staff to continue to be responsive to your needs throughout this crisis. We remain reachable by phone, video, text and email as normal, and we will continue to have full access to our systems.  Although certain face-to-face meetings need to be curtailed, we stand ready to assist you with any challenges you are facing or questions you have.

Of course, notwithstanding this plan, please remember that we will be limited by the decisions made by other entities, such as the courts, insurance carriers, third party administrators, and the Social Security Administration, all of which will develop their own responses to this situation.

We realize each client, business, and industry will feel the effects of COVID-19 differently.  For its part, Shook &  Stone is prepared to help you navigate this territory. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this pandemic, and we wish for everyone to remain healthy and safe as we work through these challenging times. We are all in this together, and will get through it together.

We will continue to monitor this situation and will notify you of changes to our protocols on our website.  We encourage you to visit our website periodically for any updates to our protocol.

Sincerely,

John Shook & Leonard Stone
