Yesterday’s fatal crash was the 47th traffic-related death in the Las Vegas area in 2014, according to officials. As a bustling metropolitan area, Las Vegas sees numerous traffic accidents, injuries, and fatalities. In many cases, these accidents are caused by the negligence or wrongful acts of others.

Motorcycle Safety: Understanding the Dangers and Risks

Although the facts of this particular accident have not yet been released, it does serve to highlight the dangers associated with riding motorcycles. As small vehicles, motorcycles can be easily overseen or lost in blind spots. They also offer little protection to riders.

These factors make motorcycle riding an extremely dangerous hobby, especially when drivers fail to uphold their legal duty to drive responsibly and reduce the risk of causing preventable accidents.

Motorcyclists must take extra measures to ensure their safety on the road.

  • Always wear a helmet that fits properly.
