Reno – 5 Dead Including Patient on a Medical Flight

Stagecoach, Nevada – Tragically, five lives were lost on Friday night after the medical transport flight they were all aboard crashed in a remote mountainous region of northern Nevada. This included the patient who was being transported for treatment.

At approximately 9:15 PM, the Lyon County Sheriff’s office received several calls about a crash near Stagecoach, Nevada. After two hours of searching for the wreckage, authorities located it in this rural community comprised of around 2,500 residents – roughly 47 miles southeast of Reno.

Care Flight, a provider of ambulance service via plane and helicopter, has reported the passing away of the pilot, a flight nurse, a flight paramedic, and one patient along with their family member.

This Saturday morning, the National Transportation Safety Board took to Twitter to announce that they are sending a seven-member investigative team to the crash site. On Sunday, they’ll offer more details at their news conference. Stay tuned for further updates!
