A Central Las Vegas Crash Leaves One Dead

On Saturday night, the Las Vegas metropolitan police were called to a deadly collision involving two automobiles and a motorbike in the central valley.

At 7:15 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Rancho Drive and Turquoise Road, where they learned of a pickup truck and motorcycle accident.

According to an officer, a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling north on Rancho Dr. and attempting to turn left onto Turquoise Ln.

A 2001 Harley-Davidson FXSTB was moving south on Rancho Dr. near the junction with Turquoise Ln, when it ran a red light.

A Chrysler 300 was halted eastbound on Turquoise Ln. at the intersection with Rancho Dr., where a marked stop sign was in place.

The Dodge made a left turn in front of the motorcyclist, resulting in a collision. The Dodge subsequently collided with the stationary Chrysler.

The motorcyclist was discovered unconscious at the scene. On foot, the Dodge driver attempted to flee but was apprehended by police. He was charged with DUI and hit-and-run offenses after being detained.

It’s possible that alcohol was a factor in the accident.

Our hearts go out to the victim of this crash.
