Shook & Stone is committed to achieving results for our clients
David M. Romanow is an associate attorney and member of the firm’s litigation group.
David is originally from Prouts Neck, which is located on a peninsula in the small town of Scarborough, Maine. Mr. Romanow graduated from Kimball Union Academy or "KUA," a prestigious boarding school located in Meriden, New Hampshire. After graduating from KUA, David moved to upstate New York where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Syracuse University. While enrolled at Syracuse University, Mr. Romanow studied abroad at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. He then went on to earn his law degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Following his law school graduation, David relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada and was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2007.
Mr. Romanow’s practice focuses primarily on serious and life-altering and/or threatening personal injury cases, involving traumatic brain injury, spinal damage, loss of limb(s), neuroskeletal trauma and broken bones. Mr. Romanow’s practice areas further include negligent security, false imprisonment, sexual harassment, complex business litigation, insurance bad faith, breach of contract, and civil rights violations.
Prior to working at Shook & Stone, Mr. Romanow began his legal career working at the local affiliate of a prominent and highly rated Boston based litigation firm. During his career, Mr. Romanow has established a track record of obtaining large awards for his clients through both settlement negotiations and jury verdicts.
Unyielding, forceful and results-driven, Mr. Romanow has obtained numerous resolutions that are atypically large. Some of these results include: a false imprisonment case that resulted in an award of punitive damages; a case against an insurer for its bad faith refusal to tender the plaintiff disability benefits that resulted in a total recover of $997,000; and a negligence case that resulted in an ultimate judgment that was in excess of 30 times the client’s medical specials.
On a personal note, when David is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary Ellen, and their two pugs, Rocky and Tyson. David is an avid boxing, hockey, and lacrosse fan. He also enjoys working out at the gym and traveling.
