A man traveling from South Dakota to Arizona was injured in a Las Vegas car accident when a car cut him off. According to a CBS news report, the injury accident occurred on southbound Interstate 15 near Motor Speedway in Las Vegas. The man was driving a truck that was pulling a trailer when a small Toyota pulled out in front of him and hit the brakes. Officials say the truck swerved to avoid the collision and crashed along the side of the road. The truck’s driver suffered neck and back injuries, as well as a gash to his forehead.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a majority of traffic accidents in the state of Nevada occur in Las Vegas and Clark County. NHTSA statistics show that in 2009, 81 people were killed in Clark County car accidents. Also, more people were killed in Clark County car accidents than all other counties combined.

After any car accident, it is important to determine who was at fault for the car accident. One of the most common causes of Las Vegas car accidents is negligent driving involving unsafe lane changes. This can occur as a result of impairment, distracted driving, speeding, or recklessness.
